Ludlow House Garden

New York City, NY

The Ludlow House Garden is an oasis in the center of the Lower East Side in Manhattan, NY. Removing the existing dilapidated structure and creating a glass-ceiling enclosure, allowed for a revival of the space as an urban garden for the adjacent Soho House Property. Specimen trees and plants, were transported to the project and delicately placed amongst the structure to give the sense as if the new building was built around the garden. This unique placement of the plants allows the space to feel as if it has existed for decades while users can be comfortable interacting regardless of the weather.
